DIRTY WHITE BALLS
No, it's not a song title from Foreigner's "Head Games" album. It's a new drinking game we've been witnessing in some of the bar venues this past few months.

The game involves tossing ping pong balls into plastic cups containing beer. If the ping pong balls fall on the floor, they are picked up and tossed again.

My question is, "Isn't this a great way to pick up some nasty germs?" I mean, the ball lands in the cup with beer, and the player drinks the beer. YUCK!

Webmaster's Blog: 2/6/09

Well, it's hard to believe we're nearing our THIRD YEAR with MONKEY BUSINESS. Time flies when you're having fun, I guess. A few of the bars we've played have bit the dust, and we're looking forward to playing some new venues in 2009. The smoking ban which was introduced in 2008 was hard on a lot of bars, not to mention the flood, of course.

This year we picked up a few new spots like Keystone Turner Hall, Hot Shots in Anamosa, Jameson's Pub in Waterloo, Dirty Ernie's in Farley, Odie's in Ely, The Wagon Wheel in Washington, Ol' Roy's in Oxford, and a special outdoor event at Tait Cummins Softball Park in May.

We've enjoyed playing for our audiences thus far, and God willing, we'll be playing for at least another 3 years!
